• RECIPES • Bangers & Mash

March 17, 2014

For St. Patricks day my Son-In-Law was going to make corn beef and cabbage BUT since him and my daughter are the only ones that like cooked cabbage he decided to make Bangers and Mash (his way)! This is a very simple dish to make......and delish!!

BANGERS AND MASH

ingredients:

  • ~ potatoes for mashing, however many you use for your family
  • ~ any veggie for a side
  • ~ your favorite brown gravy recipe or you can cheat and use McCormicks Brown gravy mix
  • ~ Johnsonville Irish O'Garlic Sausage
  • ~ sunflower, canola or vegetable oil (which ever you have on hand)

instructions:

How to cook BANGERS AND MASH

  1. . Boil your potatoes
  2. 2. While potatoes are boiling pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
  3. 3. Once oven is ready, rub oil on sausage and bake for 15 minutes then flip and cook for another 15 minutes (total cook time 30 mins). Turn off oven and leave them in the oven until it is time to serve.
  4. 4. Mash your potatoes, make your gravy
  5. 5. Place a serving of mashed potatoes on a plate, lay the sausage on top, then pour on the gravy, add your sides and serve.
