Meet Tina

Hey y'all!  I'm Tina. . .
wife, mom, grandma, fur baby mom, and the face behind 'House Living Home Loving' (Tarenley House). The blog that changes its name as often as people change their underwear!
OK...maybe not that often but pretty close; (i.e.) in 2011 I started this blog as 'Tinas Place for This and That', then it was changed to 'Our Home in the Maples', then 'Home Sweet Home no.14', then 'Maple Stone Blog (maples and stone)', then 'Tina  at Home' and finally the present many changes, to include blog templates and colors too!🤷‍♀️

A few tidbits about me:

  • I have always loved old homes, rearranging furniture and redecorating. My Barbie homes were constantly changing.
  • Being an Army spouse for 23 years gave me the opportunity to feed this desire to change things and decorate
  • North Carolina is home
  • Tarenley House is our 14th home
  • The name Tarenley is a combination of certain letters from my name
  • DH builds all my projects and I sand, stain, age, and/or paint them
  • (DSP), Decorating semi-procrastination and being a bit of a scatter brain, has become a constant companion since I hit 50 a few years ago! Not to mention my decorating style is changing, which is not helping my DSP, so I've been taking it one step at a time until this s*** passes, if it ever does!
  • I love to read just about any genre and will usually finish a book within 72 hours of starting it.
  • My music playlist ranges from classical, opera, to rock and everything in between.

Our fur babies:

the oldest Kodiak - Kody (not pictured) passed away a few days before Thanksgiving 2018, he was 14yrs old. Sarge 10, Bella 8, & Shelby 3.

About 'HOUSE LIVING HOME LOVING' (Tarenley House) & what to expect to find here:

This blog is where I share all the happenings...from D.I.Y. to decorating with found items & family treasures & reusing what I have, plus a sprinkling of recipes, life, books & other randomness, & some of my favorite things.
  • there may be 2 to 4 posts a month
  • some old posts are slowly being updated
  • there will be new projects, books reading and maybe a mood board
  • In the side bar are links for shopping our home, kitchen, personal, and things for the book lover
  • plus you can sign up for my newsletter; follow me on Pinterest and/or Instagram (ATTN: I'm not very consistent with posting on Instagram.....sometimes I forget)
Here's hoping this little corner of the blogging world inspires you to find your own style using what you have; And to lovingly create a home that is yours and yours alone no matter what your budget.

I would be so pleased if you would stay awhile and have a look around.

Enjoy your day, Tina
